Vodka Polka
Chestnut Pollen, Heather Honey
Origin and history
« For this vodka, we wanted to break the codes of a classic vodka, and start with an aromatic vodka and with hive products to stick to the Erika spirit »
Vodka is a traditional Slavic spirit. It is grain alcohol with 96.7° alcohol, which we bring down to 25° by diluting it with water, and then redistilling it with our botanicals.
Like the gins, we use a Stupfler still, which transforms the alcohol into nectar.
We, therefore, obtain round and easy-drinking vodka, and to follow « Erika’s spirit », we add, in the still, pollen from wildflowers, which Paul collects in his beehives, as well as a touch of Heather honey. A surprising innovation, which, as you enjoy it, will transport you to a honey house, surrounded by bees and flowers. It’s Vodka that tastes good and that complements cocktails with personality.
The agreements
Our vodka is traditionally associated with caviar and smoked fish. It is best served chilled, but without ice, and should be placed in the freezer beforehand. Don’t worry, it can’t freeze as its melting point is -114°.
Vodka is colourless and odourless, but aficionados will argue that a good vodka should be crystal clear, creamy, smooth on the palate, and not burn.
Traditionally in Russia, when you are a guest, you never drink before your host and you drink straight from the bottle. But after all, in France, this first rule applies to all drinks, as for the second, you don’t have to keep to it !
